Verified customers in seconds. The full credit picture. Your own policy.
OneScore gives banks, building societies, microlenders, SACCOs, insurers and mobile money operators one connection for identity checks, credit reports, scoring and monitoring, with the customer's consent on every request. We are onboarding member institutions now.
What your institution gets
Every lender repeats the same KYC checks on the same customers, and most credit data only records the bad news. OneScore gives you one shared, consent-based record instead.
| Product | What it does |
|---|---|
| KYC Verify | Identity, ID status and KYC tier in one check. |
| KYC Profile | Verified address, contacts, employment and income, with an evidence pack for your auditors. |
| Credit Report | Full-file report: accounts, 24-month payment history, adverse listings and items under dispute. |
| OneScore | Score, band, reasons and affordability. |
| Decision | Approve, refer or decline under your own policy, within fair limits. |
| Monitoring | Alerts on changes to your existing customers' profiles and credit. |
| Data submission | Single records, files or API batches, with maker–checker approval and validation reports. |
| Adverse management | Place, amend and clear listings with notice to the customer, and respond to disputes. |
How your data reaches the file
Good payments as well as bad. Every submission is checked twice before it touches a customer's record.
Monthly
Submit
Single records, files or API batches.
At your institution
Approve
A second person at your institution approves each submission (maker–checker), with a validation report.
At OneScore
Validate
Bureau rules check the data before it reaches the file.
20 days before visible
Notify
The customer is told when data is added, and before any adverse listing becomes visible to other lenders.
Within 5 working days
Respond
If the customer disputes an item, the institution that placed it responds. Only that institution can clear its listing.
Your policy, within fair limits
Approve, refer or decline using your own credit policy. You can weight the score to suit your book within fair limits, and every score can be reproduced exactly if a customer disputes it.
- Easy to explain. Every score comes with reasons your staff can talk the customer through.
- New-to-credit customers covered. Utility payments stand in when there is no loan history.
- Protected details excluded. Sex, age, region, religion, ethnicity and marital status are never used.
Pricing
A fee per request plus an annual membership. Ask us for the rate card. Citizens never pay, and we take no referral fees for sending customers to any lender.
For government and regulators
- Read-only dashboards on lending, adverse listings, disputes and lender policies.
- Lawful requests through a logged, two-person approval process.
- Free identity checks for government agencies.
Built to be audited
How the platform is built and protected. Our approach follows the World Bank's General Principles for Credit Reporting.8
| Area | How we do it |
|---|---|
| Platform | Python and Django services, PostgreSQL and React applications. Open standards and documented APIs. |
| Identity | Selfie liveness and face match at enrolment. Photos are never stored. |
| Encryption | TLS 1.3 everywhere and encryption at rest. Sensitive fields are encrypted one by one, with keys held in a dedicated key vault. |
| Access | Hardware-key sign-in for staff, maker–checker on every data change, and every access logged. |
| Audit | A tamper-evident audit log checked daily. Customers see their own access log. |
| Institutions | OAuth 2.0 and mutual TLS for API access, signed webhooks, rate limits and alerts on unusual use. |
| Assurance | Independent penetration tests, data-protection registration, and ISO/IEC 27001 as our target standard. |
